FHACS High-Flow Activated Carbon Sintered Filter Cartridge

The FHACS Activated Carbon Sintered Filter Cartridge is produced by using a proprietary sintering process that combines high-quality coconut shell and coal-based activated carbon with food-grade polyethylene binders. This advanced technology creates a dense, tortuous pore structure that integrates adsorption, filtration, and catalytic functions into a single element.Unlike traditional granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, the FHACS cartridge eliminates the risk of channeling and carbon fines migration. It effectively removes chlorine, organic compounds (VOCs), pesticides, and radioactive substances while reducing sediment and turbidity. With its high flow rate and low pressure drop, it is the ideal solution for liquid and air purification applications.

Product Features

  • Dual-Action Filtration: Combines adsorption (removing chlorine, taste, odor, VOCs) with mechanical filtration (intercepting sediment, rust, and particles).
  • High Flow & Low Delta-P: Engineered with a graded density structure to maximize flow rates while maintaining high dirt-holding capacity, minimizing pressure loss.
  • Zero Carbon Fines: The sintering process permanently binds carbon particles, preventing carbon dust migration and ensuring safe, clean water from the first drop.
  • Broad Chemical Compatibility: Resistant to a wide range of chemicals and operates effectively within a wide temperature range (up to 90°C).
  • Micron Ratings: Available in various precision levels (0.2μm to 30μm) to suit diverse application requirements.

Precautions

Installation & Operation Guide

  • Flow Direction: Strictly adhere to Outside-In flow direction. This ensures optimal contact time for adsorption and proper mechanical filtration.
  • Pressure Control: Operate within the rated pressure (≤0.4 MPa). Avoid sudden pressure surges (>0.1 MPa/s) which may damage the core structure.
  • Pre-Filtration: For heavily polluted water sources, we recommend using a 5μm PP melt-blown pre-filter to extend the service life of the carbon core.
  • Initial Use: Flush the cartridge with clean water for 3-5 minutes to remove surface dust and activate the pores.

Maintenance & Replacement

  • Non-Regenerable: The FHACS filter cartridge is a non-regenerable product. Do not attempt to backwash, clean, or sterilize the filter, as this will destroy the pore structure and cause carbon leakage.
  • Replacement Cycle: Standard lifespan is 6–12 months, depending on local water quality and usage volume.
  • Replacement Criteria: Replace the cartridge when the pressure differential increases by 40% or the flow rate drops significantly.
