FCA5500 Prefilming Agent

FCA5500 is a high-efficiency liquid prefilming agent produced exclusively for the critical pre-operational prefilming stage following chemical cleaning of industrial recirculating cooling water systems. Applied after successful cleaning and prior to system commissioning, it rapidly forms a dense, uniform composite protective film on carbon steel, copper alloys, stainless steel, and other metallic surfaces through targeted chelation with divalent metal ions (e.g., Ca2+, Mg2+) in water. This film effectively isolates corrosive media, significantly enhancing initial corrosion resistance. As a pivotal bridge between cleaning and routine water treatment, FCA5500 establishes a robust foundation for long-term system reliability and is widely deployed across power, petrochemical, metallurgical, and HVAC industries to ensure safe, efficient equipment startup and extended service life.

Product Features

  • Precision Film Formation: Selective chelation with divalent ions builds a highly adherent, dense composite film within 48 hours, optimizing surface passivation.
  • Multi-Metal Compatibility: Effective on carbon steel, copper alloys, stainless steel; mitigates galvanic corrosion risks in heterogeneous systems.
  • Liquid-Form Operational Advantage: Amber to reddish-brown transparent liquid; excellent flowability ensures precise dosing and rapid dispersion; forms film under ambient-temperature circulation—no heating required, saving energy and time.
  • Seamless System Integration: Compatible with multiple mainstream water stabilizers; post-prefilming water replacement enables smooth transition to routine treatment.
  • Long-Lasting Protection: Chemically stable film delivers durable initial corrosion barrier, extending equipment service life.
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance: Low-toxicity formula; residues are readily manageable; aligns with industrial safety and environmental standards when handled per protocol.
